Post-Game Grading Explination

After every recap I write on here (at least for the time being), I'll post a series of grades. They will assess the team's roster management, coaching, forward performance, defenseman performance, and goalie performance. Some of these grades may wind up impacting another aspect's grade. A brief explanation of each grade:

  • Roster management: Properly dressing the players needed to give the team the best chance to win. Also encompasses affiliate list moves and/or free agent signings.
  • Coaching: Being able to do the most with what's out there. Like with roster management, you can't coach your way out of injury.
  • Forward performance: How the forwards as a whole fared in all aspects.
  • Defenseman performance: How the defensemen fared in doing their jobs.
  • Goaltender performance: How the goalies fared in making saves that can be made, keeping themselves in position to make said saves, and preventing second-chance scoring.

I'll also link this with every recap.
